NOTE: I did try to look up and see if there was any 'official' info on this, but all I found was that Doc J found Heero after Odin Lowe's death and 'liked the look in his eyes.' I also found out that in the Japanese version he is first referred to as "Odin Lowe Jr." ...now theres something I didn't know!
He had been wandering for days now, stealing food when he needed to and using what he knew from his predecessor to camp out during the nights. He really had no where to go, no one to take him in, nothing to do. It didn't bother him much, or so he told himself when the nights got lonely and cold. Odin may have been a killer, but he was someone, and now that someone was gone.
That was how the Doctor found him. The old man had been following reports of Odin Lowe that still circled round, saying that Odins missions - though the man was dead - were still being completed.
The boy knew nothing of this, but it was him whom the people claimed did the job. The boy who followed Odin around like a lost puppy, the one who posed as his son...it was him they gave credit to, and it was him the Doctor found.
The young boy glared at the strange old man, but did not speak first.
"What is your name, boy?"
"Odin Lowe Jr."
"The son of Odin Lowe, is it?" The boy nodded. "Then that's not your true name, nor is that man your father. Is this not true?" The boy didn't answer. It was true that Odin had found him nameless and fatherless, but Odin had given him both, and surely that would suffice.
"What do you want, old man?" The boy asked instead.
The Doctor chuckled. "Such insolence...but don't you worry. I have the means to get rid of it. Come boy, and let me show you how to do the work your predecessor did."
The old man turned and began to walk away, but the young boy didn't follow. Instead he asked, "Why? Who are you?"
The old man chuckled once again. "I like the look in your eyes, young man. It reminds of one of my other projects. He wasn't quite as good as your old man, but I think you can do better.
"As for who I am...well, most people like to call me Doctor J."
This time, when the old man walked away, the little boy followed.
THE END.
